K&S Precision Metals

Designers are are always on the lookout for new product to inspire their creativity, so it's always exciting to visit the annual arts & crafts trade shows each year to see what's new.

K&S Precision Metals, an old, established metal company, was one of this year's new exhibitors at the spring trade show with a product created specifically for crafters and makers.  They have already been providing custom and packaged metals for over 75 years to major hobby and hardware stores, but exhibiting at the National Art Materials Trade Assoc (NAMTA/Creativation) was the company's first foray into the arts & crafts market.

Scott and Ted exhibiting for the first time in the arts & crafts industry!

K&S offers 12" x 24" rolls of .004" thick, 36 ga, aluminum foil* specifically manufactured for their creative customers. There are currently 5 colors to choose from: Blue, Purple, Green, Pink and Gold on one side and all rolls are silver on the back.  *Note: please don't be misled by the name "aluminum foil"! This is not your mother's kitchen foil!  It is much stronger and thicker than the rolls commonly found in a kitchen drawer!

It's such a fun product to work with so I, (Julie McGuffee) immediately offered to host a blog hop with industry designers and influencers here, and Ann Butler, founder of Bella Crafts Quarterly is promoting the company in her online magazine and Facebook Lives.

Each participating designer received samples of the colored metal foil and you can see what they created in the links below.  As we say in the UK, you'll be gobsmacked at how versatile this product is!  Here's a teaser video by @thediyday to spark your creativity!

You can follow Scott and Ted's excellent adventures in craft land by liking their Facebook page and following them on Instagram!  Enjoy!
